Colombia San Pablo
Well rounded and smooth. Mandarin, green apple, toffee and almond with a delicate floral finish.
Region: San Pablo
Altitude: 1400-2100 masl
Varietal: 100% Caturra
This smooth and delicious washed coffee is grown in Colombia's Antioquia region - where coffee first put down roots, quite literally. But more than just a birthplace, it grows the most coffee of any other region in Colombia, where both small producers and large estates co-exist.
Its farmers take enormous pride in their plantations and particularly in conserving the natural resources in the area as a legacy from their ancestors and for their descendants. Further to this, farmers within the region place great importance on coffee education, new farming practices, and improving their ecologically responsible methods. The lush, green vegetation (combined with the high altitudes) contributes to extraordinary microlots often more in line with fruity, African flavour profiles than typical Central American profiles.
Indicative of the varied, diverse coffees found in the region, the San Pablo is fruity and delicate with notes of mandarin, green apple and toffee, almond and a floral finish.
