Second to none when it comes to pourover brews, the Hario V60 range is the most popular in the world of manual brewing. Named after its signature ‘V’ shape and degree of slope, the brewer contains a larger brew hole and spiraled edges. These features combine to deliver the cleanest, crispest and most delicate yield possible. We’re classicists, and love the fine white ceramic version, but also stock the stunning copper, matte black and clear plastic versions.
Complete your pourover setup with Hario’s V60 filter papers (linked), add some ground coffee and you’re all set!
Translating from Japanese as ‘Glass King’, heat proof glass manufacturer Hario was founded in 1921. Initially focussed on laboratory equipment, they expanded the range in1948 to include household items, starting with the coffee syphon.
After a few years, the company developed the first prototype of the Hario V60 coffee dripper as a way to solve a common problem at the time - the complex nature of coffee brewing during the late 1950s. The birth of the Hario V60 coffee dripper helped Hario grow into the leading player in the coffee industry they are today.
