"My first taste of this Guatemala El Sendero struck me for its fruit forward syrupy notes. This complex coffee blends those intense fruit flavours with a rich caramel body and hints of orange in the finish."
Coffee has been a huge part of my life since I started working in cafes when I was a teenager. When I began my specialty coffee journey, I made it my mission to try as many different single origin coffees as possible. So, when I began working at Padre Coffee, I felt like a kid in a candy store.
Throughout my coffee journey, spanning the better part of a decade, I hadn’t experienced too many stand out Rwandan coffees. But in the past few years, I’ve really come to notice how delicious they are, and the Rwanda Gitesi has got to be one of them!
When I first sipped Rwanda Umurage, I noticed notes of apricot, lemon curd and dark chocolate at the back end. I absolutely loved the syrupy body. The meticulous care in which this coffee is processed really shines through with a super clean taste!
We are especially happy to be sharing this coffee with you as it is the latest single origin coffee to be a part of our Good Coffee Doing Good campaign. We’re excited to be showcasing a coffee from producer Dawit Dagiso, a partnership made possible by the Lalisaa Project.
