Convenient ways to brew coffee on the go

Searching high and low for coffee on your holidays isn’t exactly ideal. We are here to talk you through the easiest ways to still enjoy your daily cup while you’re traveling.

Aeropress

The AeroPress is a versatile brewer that makes filter style coffee.

It is a portable, lightweight cylindrical brewing device that is perfect to take camping, or pack in your luggage for a flight. It is a fun, exciting way to brew coffee and is a travellers favourite as it has the added benefit of being compact.

It’s a small coffee maker that’s easy to travel with and doesn't require a lot of equipment. All you need is the brewer, filter papers, coffee and access to hot water. Not to mention, it makes a damn good coffee!

Plunger

Plunger coffee is one of the easiest ways to brew coffee, and is perfect for that relaxed, holiday-mode. You can purchase plungers as small as 350ml and, in most cases, can even be found in Airbnb’s and hotel rooms.

You can brew plunger coffee with either filter roast or espresso roast coffee. For a fruitier, lighter brew to drink black, we prefer a filter roast coffee; for a richer brew with lower acidity and for those who want to add milk to the brew, we recommend using espresso roast coffee.

Stovetop

Stovetop is one of the most common domestic brewing devices, and for good reason! If you’re looking for an easy-to-use, no-fuss brew method, do not overlook the humble moka pot. It’s a classic brewing device that is absolutely delicious when brewed well.

Pods

Going away to an Airbnb? Take some Padre Coffee pods with you.

Take a slice of Melbourne specialty coffee with you, but leave the coffee kit at home with our 100% organic and compostable Padre Coffee Pods. Filled with our Wild Child coffee, these are guaranteed to keep your specialty coffee craving satisfied.

Just put one of the pods into your Airbnb's or hotel's Nespresso machine and you're good to go!

Cold Brew

Be the favourite family member on your holiday this year by bringing some pre-made cold brew. Cold Brew is generally brewed as a concentrate that can be diluted with either cold water, ice and/or milk for serving.

A range of equipment can be used to brew cold brew - all you really need is a sturdy container big enough to hold the coffee and water, and some means of filtering the brew at the end. We prefer to use the Toddy Cold Brew System, which keeps everything neat and features a double filter process that ensures a clean, crisp brew.
