About the Coffee:

This lot comes from Fazenda Chapadão, part of the Nunes Coffee group in Brazil’s Cerrado Mineiro region. Managed by third-generation producer and agronomist Gabriel Nunes, the farm combines decades of family experience with a modern, quality-focused approach to coffee production. Gabriel and his family are among the region’s most respected producers, earning recognition through multiple Cup of Excellence successes and a commitment to continual improvement on the farm.

This is the second season we've featured Gabriel’s coffee at Padre through our partnership with Southland Merchants. Earlier this year, Gabriel visited our Melbourne team during MICE, giving us the opportunity to connect directly with the producer behind the cup.

The coffee is a field blend of Arara, Mundo Novo, Catucai 2SL, Red and Yellow Catuai, and Topazio. Cherries are harvested at peak ripeness and processed as an aerobic natural, drying whole on patios in contact with open air. This approach encourages a clean and transparent fruit profile, while Cerrado Mineiro’s dry winter climate provides ideal conditions for controlled fermentation and drying.

In the cup, bright apple and mandarin acidity are balanced by brown sugar sweetness and a crisp black tea finish. The mouthfeel is rounded and coating, resulting in a natural coffee that feels refined, structured and highly drinkable.
